Stitches on the Square in historic downtown Laurens.
We carry the best in quilting fabrics, notions, patterns, books, gifts, and quilting kits. Along with our regular quilting lines; Moda, Timeless Treasures, Maywood, etc., we have reproduction fabrics from the 1930's and 1940's and the civil war era. We also carry beautiful batiks.
Stitches offers classes for all levels of quilters, from beginners to advanced. We provide long arm quilting services by Bonnie Blue Quilting. We custom make quilts for our customers, including tee shirt and memory quilts.
Quilting Queens will meet the second Thursday of each month from 10 until noon starting
Feb. 11. You can bring something to work on, something to show and share, or just come to socialize with other quilters. For each item you bring to show your name will be put in a drawing for a door prize that we will do in December. Hope you can join us!
Stitches has joined American Patchwork & Quilting's 1 million pillowcase challenge to donate 1 million pillowcases this year to local charities. We have 2 days scheduled if you would like to come in and work on pillowcases - Thursday, Feb. 25 and Saturday, March 13. If you can't join us these dates you can make pillowcases at home and donate them through Stitches. For every pillowcase you donate through Stitches your name will be entered in a drawing. Pillowcases will be donated to Hospice's Jaime's Treehouse for their children's bereavement day
camp.
Loose Threads Quilt Guild meets the third Thursday of each month from 6:30pm until
