We carry the best in quilting fabrics, notions, patterns, books, gifts, and quilting kits. Along with our regular quilting lines; Moda, Timeless Treasures, Maywood, etc., we have reproduction fabrics from the 1930's and 1940's and the civil war era. We also carry beautiful batiks.
Stitches offers classes for all levels of quilters, from beginners to advanced. We provide long arm quilting services by Bonnie Blue Quilting. We custom make quilts for our customers, including tee shirt and memory quilts.
Do you have more scraps then you know what to do with? If so, come join our ScrapaholicsGroup. Group will meet Jan. 8, Feb. 12, and Mar. 19. Ann Johnson will lead this group. You can meet either from 10am until noon, or from 6pm until 8pm on the above dates. Fee for the quarter is $25. Ann will help you get yourscraps organized and then made into wonderful new projects.
Quilting Queens will meet the second Thursday of each month from 10 until noon starting
Feb. 11. You can bring something to work on, something to show and share, or just come to socialize with other quilters. For each item you bring to show your name will be put in a drawing for a door prize that we will do in December. Hope you can join us!
Stitches has joined American Patchwork & Quilting's 1 million pillowcase challenge to donate 1 million pillowcases this year to local charities. We have 2 days scheduled if you would like to come in and work on pillowcases - Thursday, Feb. 25 and Saturday, March 13. If you can't join us these dates you can make pillowcases at home and donate them through Stitches. For every pillowcase you donate through Stitches your name will be entered in a drawing. Pillowcases will be donated to Hospice's Jaime's Treehouse for their children's bereavement day
camp.
Betsi Dinger will be leading a group in doing civil war doll quilts from the book "Remembering Adelia". This is a book of patterns inspired by Adelia Thomas's journal from 1861. This group will meet the first Thursday of each month starting March 4 from 10 am until. Fee is $10.
Loose Threads Quilt Guild meets the third Thursday of each month from 6:30pm until 8:30pm at the First Presbyterain Church in Clinton. Visitors are welcome.
